Scans of Mystery Tales 40 comic as seen on Lost - Page 3
Here's the third page of "The Hidden Land" story from the Mystery Tales 40 comic book as seen on Lost 4x11 Cabin Fever.
Pretty much at the end of the story we have some more interesting facts similar somehow to details of the show's plot:
- The ring on Mr. Castin's office gives power to whoever has it, like the island from Lost.
- The dark characters may be "The Others", who don't want Fred (Locke?) to own, control and use the ring.
- Those "Others" have also the power of summoning a kind of black smoke that makes travelling through time and space possible.
I don't know about you but the more we know about this story, the more we find interesting stuff similar to the show. If there happens to be a ring on the Orchid station then that would be it ;-)
Stay tuned for the fourth and final page of the Hidden Land story from the book!

Thanks for sharing guys. This make you guys Special. rsrs.
Are you share the whole comic or just the "HIDDEN LAND" part ?
Please, scan the whole comic, because it seens to be a great comic book, and also the other istories include in it, could have a glue to the secrets of lost.
Bye .
Our idea is to share the whole comic book, as you said, there are several great stories.
Thanks for your support!
Awesome, thanks again guys...looking forward to the conclusion of this one.

Thank you for being so freak!!
We look forward to watching the other pages!
Kisses from Spain!
I added the details of what your doing to Lostpedia
http://lostpedia.com/wiki/Mystery_Tales_No._40
Thanks for the hard work. Keep it up. We all really appreciate it although it wouldn't hurt to speed it up a bit and maybe post them one story at a time instead of one page
@ALLinHurleysHead, marta and Anónimo:
We'd like to than you al for your support and your nice words.
We are looking forward to post the last scan page and to know your hypothesis about any kind of similarities with the Lost plot.
Thanks for reading!
"Those "Others" have also the power of summoning a kind of black smoke that makes travelling through time and space possible."
Now that was a way too far fetched of a statement. "Black smoke"? "Travel through time and space"? I don't see any of those in that one frame at the end. I share your interest in discovering similarities but let's keep it down to earth guys, ok?
San af a Bich:
We talked about "A KIND of a black smoke", just a question: wich is the main color in the last frame?
Unless you have some KIND of visual handicap, the answer would be: The black.
Under our point of view, the texture looks like smoke.
About the "time travelling" fact, maybe the point,my dearest sonafabich, is that you didn't read properly the last frame.
BTW, there are several translations on the net, maybe if you take a look to it in another language, helps you a little bit.
Just in case, let me copy part of the text, and take it a look again: "He was in the infinity, in the time and the space"
I think it's obvious that Fred is space and time travelling. I guess once you have seen the last scan page will get it better.
Thanks for reading!
Do you have statistics about how many people are reading your Web site?
I'm just curious how many people around the world are reading this comic book from the 1950s serialized one page at a time, anxiously awaiting each update.
@David: Not that much, actually we think there's a lot of Lost fans missing these scans, so please spread the word as much as you can. Thanks :)
so when the hell are you going to post the rest of book?
I'm sorry but being Saturday we were a bit off this thing, tomorrow we'll post the next page.
Thanks very much for sharing this guys! Looking forward to future scans, posts, and analysis! :-D
why is the fourth and last page ?? there are only 4??
muchas gracias esta de puta madre seguro nos dara muchas pista
@luca: The Hidden Land story in the comic is only 4 pages long. There are other stories in the comic though.
You can go to www.atlastales.com to see cover scans and story titles for all the Mystery Tales comics. It's really neat!
Out of curiosity...how many pages has the comic?
"Stay tuned for the fourth and final page of the Hidden Land story from the book!"
Ok, i have just answer myself xD. This is what happens if you don't read carefully.
@Marta: The Hidden Land story from the comic has 4 pages, but there are other stories in the same book that we'll scan and share as well.
Ah!OK!GREAT! I'm entering to the web page each ten minutes to see if you have post the fourth page! I'm obsessed!!!! xD Are the other stories so interesting as the hidden land?I mean...do they have so many similarities with lost? (sorry if my English is not perfect)
Wow, a ring that will help him rise to power. I expect that he will be calling it his precious sooner or later.
I can easily pick up the event of the old woman (she could see stuff not-yet-to-happen , you recall it , eh?) didn't want to sell "a" ring to Desmond , which he wasn't on the island for the second time. Maybe , maybe , there's something to do with that ring. It looked unworthy at that time period but maybe as i said , it can fit in somewhere in forthcoming seasons.
I say it because we still don't know anything about that woman and why and how she can see stuff and warn Des before all the things happened after that. Nothing's told. Just Des went right back to the island after a fault of himself on his relationship with Penny. This mysterious woman stood there , still standing indeed.
Was she recruited long before by Ben? Is she one of the others? Or the Black Smoke aka Jacob (i suppose so) , was "that"...or "her" should i say , i don't know? Who the heck was she?
What do you say?
I think "the Ring" is symbolic for the Dharma Initiative logo. Thoughts?
